About Us
Buxton Pottery Painting is a new family run pottery painting studio based in the historic spa town of Buxton, in the beautiful Peak District. We are based in the Cavendish Arcade which was the Victorian Public Bathhouse. When you enter the arcade and you make your way down the corridors, past the beautiful boutique shops and cafes and you will be awed at some of the original features such as the original tiling and doorways that lead into the shops that once led to the private bathrooms. As you get closer to the studio, you will be invited to look up and you will see the wonderful contrasting, artistic stained-glass ceiling, designed by famous artist Brian Clarke.
Make your way up the stairs or use our private lift to our welcoming and friendly studio/café which has been designed to complement the historic features of the building, for individuals, of all ages and skill levels to come together to paint and create memorable moments using our non-toxic, water-based paints with tools provided, to create your uniquely painted piece. It is a principle of ours at Buxton Pottery Painting to work alongside other suppliers in the local area, therefore we provide locally roasted coffee and locally made cakes or a savoury slice to enjoy whilst creating your designs.
